Celeste Bronfman is a Los Angeles–based television and comics writer. On television, she has written for Marvel’s animated series Marvel Zombies (2025), continuing the narrative from the What If…? episode “What If… Zombies?!”, and Marvel’s Super Heroes Assemble (2022). Her credits also include the acclaimed teen drama Degrassi: Next Class (2016–2017), part of the Emmy-winning Degrassi franchise, and its associated webisodes that deal with issues like cyberbullying and teen relationships. Bronfman also contributed to Big Top Academy (2018–2019), a live-action kids’ series set in a circus-arts school that brings the essence of Cirque du Soleil to television. In the realm of comics, Bronfman has worked with major publishers including Marvel and IDW Publishing. At Marvel, she authored a story in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 (2023), co-writing the issue with Erica Schultz. She also penned the origin story of Jackpot in Amazing Spider-Man #31 (2023). She later wrote the Jackpot and Black Cat four-issue mini-series (2024), teaming up with artist Emilio Laiso to explore the partnership between Mary Jane Watson as Jackpot and Felicia Hardy as Black Cat.
